Poly is a modular ceramic form inspired by the traditional idea of the totem — its rhythm, repetition of elements, and the way simple forms can come together to create a distinctive spatial composition.
Both the vase and the totem consist of a central stem with ceramic rings in different shapes and proportions placed onto it. The individual elements can be freely combined, changing their order, number and relationships. As a result, each arrangement becomes a composition of its own — a unique form created by the user.
Poly is based on the idea of playing with form. There is no single correct way to assemble it.
It can be built symmetrically or asymmetrically, with rhythmic repetitions or contrasting elements placed alongside one another.
Changing a single ring can completely transform the character of the whole composition.
Yet Poly is more than an exercise in composition. Each arrangement can be created with a personal intention and given its own meaning
— as a symbol of calm, strength, change, memory, a new beginning, or simply something we want to keep close.
Poly remains an open-ended project. It imposes neither a single meaning nor a single form, leaving space for experimentation, creation and the possibility of giving the object a character of its own.
Each product is made by hand, which means that individual pieces may slightly differ from one another. Small variations in colour, texture, or shape are natural traces of the making process, giving each object its own distinctive character.
